Movement Drill #1 (single step forward & backward)
This movement drill is the most basic of the movement drills. It has 2-parts (forward and backward). The idea of this drill is to help prepare the student for a faster and more effective kick while going forward.
When moving backward, the student is learning how to avoid an attack while developing abilities for counter attacking.
In this section, we are going to cover how to use this drill to make your attacks faster and more effective - using pads and targets.

This movement drill is the most advanced of the forward and backward movement drills. When moving forward the idea of this drill is to help prepare the student to be faster and have a more effective kick and not show any signs of the attack (telegraphing).
When moving backward, the student is learning how to avoid an attack while developing abilities for counter attacking. This drill is performed at a short or medium distance.
In this section, we are going to cover how to use this drill to make your attacks faster and more effective - using pads and targets.
The attack for this drill will be:
- Side Piercing Kick (most popular)
- Turning Kick
- Reverse Hooking Kick
